Sneak Peak of the Master Bath Renovation

As with most of our projects, this master bathroom renovation is taking us longer than we anticipated! But we're nearly finished....here is a sneak peak for now:

Southern Flourish Magazine Southern Flourish is a brand new magazine I just discovered over at Young House Love this morning (check out Sherry and John in this issue) and I'm already in love. I'm hardly in the south up here in New England, but it doesn't matter - Southern Flourish has everything near and dear to my heart - design, DIY, fashion...cupcakes. I found myself clipping pictures (aka screen capturing) left and right to save into my "inspiration" and "rainy day project" folders. You can read their inaugural issue from cover to cover online. Flower Cookie Pops I made these adorable flower cookie pops as a gift for my mom on Mother's Day. The cookie recipe is from Joy of Baking, right here. I also used the royal icing recipe (the powdered egg white version) on that same page. A pretty flower pot with some floral foam and river rocks serves as the perfect way to present these. What I did was cover the bottom of the pot with some rocks to weigh it down, added floral foam which the lollipop sticks stuck into, then covered the foam with some more rocks. So cute. Here's a picture...
